Project Information
This award winning project situated in Newtown, Sydney involved the complete reconfiguration, restoration and redesign of two separate buildings. The small corner shop constructed in 1909 and the much larger warehouse (formerly used as a local bakery) constructed in 1922. Led by the talented PAMMENT PROJECTS team, the design and construction ensured this project delivered the fine workmanship and high attention to detail required.

With the surrounding heritage streetscape and strong community connection to both buildings, structural integrity was critical during the construction and to ensure the rejuvenated buildings stand proud for many more decades to come.

Solution:
The ARDEX Weldtec™ Membrane provided the ideal waterproofing system to meet the projects needs. With the products fast return to service and exceptional service life performance the ARDEX Weldtec™ Membrane was the ideal solution. ARDEX Weldtec™ WPM 750 was installed within all internal wet areas, and ARDEX Weldtec™ WPM 1000 being installed for all external waterproofing requirements.

The fibre reinforced modified render, ARDEX WR 120 FR, was used in various locations on the project due to the products ease of application and excellent non-slump performance, but also provided a final substrate to continue the rejuvenated heritage appearance.
