This new mixed-use building on Doncaster Hill will incorporate a flagship Mercure hotel along with a two-level, 11,000sqm Bunnings store. With stunning views over Melbourne CBD’s skyline, the Mercure hotel has a destination restaurant and bar, alfresco dining space, sundeck, fitness center, rooftop pool and function room and an outdoor terrace.

Challenge:

Sitting on a smaller than average sized site with fast turnaround times required for the 166 bathroom pod construction process, a tiling system with excellent workability and ease of application was needed.

Solution:

ARDEX were able to offer the complete tiling solution consisting of ARDEX X 17 tile adhesive and ARDEX FSDD grout. The 166 bathroom pods were integrated throughout every guest room in the hotel, and simply installed and connected once they arrive on site ensuring project scheduling was met.
