Project details:
The major redevelopment of the Peters Ice Cream Factory in West End is bringing life to this iconic area. With office suites, apartments across multiple residential towers, heritage restoration, new Peters Lane retail precinct, and right through to the latest 5 Star Green Star Greenhouse office building.
Challenge:
With fast turnaround times required for the bathroom pod construction process, a trusted waterproofing and tiling system with excellent workability and ease of application was needed for the 473 bathroom pods spanning across 332 apartments.
Solution:
ARDEX were able to offer the complete waterproofing and tiling solution consisting of ARDEX WPM 155 Rapid Plus waterproofing membrane, ARDEX X 18 tile adhesive, and ARDEX FSDD grout and ARDEX SE Silicone. The 473 bathroom pods were integrated throughout every bathroom in the residential towers, and simply installed and connected once they arrive on site ensuring project scheduling was met.
Unique Elements:
ARDEX provided the tiling solution, accompanied by market leading service and technical support throughout the entire project. The project remained on schedule and guaranteed the products performance characteristics met the projects requirements.
