In the heart of Cairns, the Crystalbrook Bailey offers a new five-star luxury tourism destination. The design allows soft light into units after taking inspiration from the curtain fig tree and gables of the Queenslander. The focus on modern lines and forms allows the experience of a lush rainforest canopy feel seamlessly throughout the towers. This mixed-use development features two 12-storey towers including 220 hotel rooms, 110 apartments with a variety of restaurants, cafes, retail outlets, and event facilities.

Challenge:

The spacious 132 bathroom pods were finished with chiselled brick wall tiles and grey floor tiles. Fast turnaround times were required as all bathroom pods were manufactured offsite in parallel with the construction works.

Solution:

ARDEX provided the complete tiling solution for improved system flexibility during the bathroom pods’ transportation to the construction site. The ARDEX X 17 tile adhesive and ARDEX FS-DD grout system was chosen for this project for their outstanding performance characteristics.
