Head Builder: ProBuild
Contractor: Vercon
Architect(s)/Consultant(s): Cottee Parker Architects & Far East Consortium
Project details:
The Towers & The Ritz Carlton are located on the picturesque Swan River in Perth, Western Australia. These world class amenities are the centerpiece of the Elizabeth Quay development, and the most significant foreshore project ever embarked in Western Australia. The project included 379 residential apartments, 204 room 5-star luxury hotel with penthouses, 6 swimming pools, along with ground floor retail, dining, and event spaces all integrated into this resort-style development.
Challenge:
The sheer size of this project included 60,000m2 of tiling products and 20,000m2 of waterproofing products. ARDEX were specified for this showpiece development due to our SystemARDEX approach, proven product reliability and performance, and unmatched technical service and field support. The project was required to remain on schedule, and to ensure the specified products matched the project’s environmental demands and performance criteria.
Solution:
ARDEX provided complete tiling and waterproofing solutions for environments such as internal wet and dry areas, balconies, swimming pools, and façade.
Internal and external areas consisted of ARDEX WPM 300, ARDEX WPM 002, ARDEX X18, ARDEX FG8 and ARDEX SE Silicone. Swimming pools and spas included ARDEX WPM 300, ARDEX WPM 405, ARDEX WPM 002, ARDEX X18, ARDEX E90 Additive, ARDEX FG8 with ARDEX Grout Booster, and ARDEX ST Silicone. The entire building was coated in ARDEX WPM 310 prior to mechanically fixed cladding being installed.
The ARDEX specification provided a complete SystemARDEX tiling and waterproofing solution of high quality, totally compatible products supported by market leading technical service and field support.
