Sydney:
Raewyn Hughes, General Manager of ARDEX Australia, has been appointed to the Floor Covering Institute of Australia’s Board of Directors for 2026.

The Floor Covering Institute of Australia works to strengthen and promote the Australian floor covering industry by advancing its interests, reputation and long-term sustainability. It supports workforce development through national employment, training and skills recognition initiatives delivered via its National Training Academy. The FCIA also advocates to government on policy and funding matters and provides members with specialist advice and support to help grow their businesses and capabilities.

There are 11 carefully chosen representatives from all sectors of the Australian Flooring Industry – including retail, manufacturing/supply and commercial contracting. All positions are voluntary to ensure the board works to represent and serve the interests of the industry as a whole.

According to Fiona Wischnewski, CEO of FCIA, Raewyn’s appointment highlights the critical role manufacturers play in providing insight and leaders

“Raewyn’s appointment to the FCIA Board marks an important milestone for our organisation. Her deep understanding of future-focused flooring solutions, combined with her strong marketing expertise, will be instrumental in strengthening our brand maturity and sharpening how we communicate value to our members.”

ARDEX Australia runs 10 manufacturing and 14 distribution centres around Australia and New Zealand. As an Australian manufacturer, ARDEX has supported FCIA since 2020, both sharing a passion for skills and training in the industry.

According to Raewyn Hughes, the appointment further strengthens the relationship and allows for deeper synergies.

“I look forward to working alongside my fellow board members to contribute meaningful outcomes and help drive positive progress for the industry,” she said.
